Futures and Foresight Training
Online and in-person trainings on futures and foresight with a feminist perspective. Tailored to the specific needs of the group, organisation, and sector

I train teams and groups on futures and foresight methods through a feminist lens, so that they can:
- scan signals of change emerging on the horizon;
- anticipate a variety of possible future scenarios relevant to the organisation, sector, or topic we are exploring together;
- envision their most desirable futures;
- create a concrete action plan to influence towards the realisation of their desirable futures, while creating resilience to deal with the potential emergence of other future scenarios.
The field of futures and foresight has numerous methods, and we select a specific combination of them according to the needs and goals of the group we are working with. The way we teach these methods also varies depending on the group profile. We draw from our expertise on storytelling, filmmaking, and other creative methods, as well as embodied practices, to make futures thinking, strategic foresight, and their methods make sense to the group, so they can apply them in their specific reality after the training.
In the last few years, we have worked with very diverse groups, ranging from young feminist activists in rural areas to communications and advocacy professionals, programme managers, and senior leaders in international feminist organisations and coalitions, UN agencies, and the private sector.
We are prepared to deliver from one-off workshops to a multi-session programme, in-person or online, including in lo-fi settings and accessible to persons with disabilities and those whose English is not their first language. We produce a bespoke toolkit and training materials to equip participants to keep learning and practicing long after our work together.
Examples of what we have done in this area:
I've done this for the Feminist Dream Space (training + toolkit for their core team of Global South and East feminist funders), the Escola Brasileira de Futuros (a course on futures for social transformation), and a group of Nigerian adolescent girls learning foresight at the intersection of gender and climate.
